Frequently Asked Questions
Will I need walking shoes? I would suggest you wear flat shoes with a good grip, some paths can be muddy.
What if it rains? The walk will go ahead you will just need to bring your waterproof jacket or brolly!
Do I need to pay anything? No the walks are FREE.
Can I bring my children? If you think they will be happy walking for an hour/two hours and will not get bored; then of course. If they do get bored you can always cut the walk short; just please tell me you are leaving the group. I would ask if I am talking to the group and a child begins to cry then please step to one side so that others in the group can hear. I appreciate people have caring roles; we have had grandparents bring children along on previous walks and they have loved it! Please get in touch with me to check the route is suitable for a pram.
I notice you take photos on walks; I don’t want my photo taken? This I will respect and at the start of the walk I will ask about photography. I generally photograph things we see on the walk; however adding people into those photos adds a real sense of what we’ve been up to. Plus people have said; if they miss a walk, they’ve come on here to see what they missed.
Can I bring my dog? Yes you can; please keep dogs on a lead at all times and be mindful other people in the group may be unsure/afraid of dogs. Please get in touch with me (Suzanne tel: 07853181299) if the walk includes a cafe/cake stop or interiors tours as we may not be able to take the dog inside.
Is it the same walk each session? We will do a different walk from each location; there may be the odd overlap of buildings from a different angle or theme.
