The walk afforded some lovely late summer fruits, greenery and views.

5th September 2018 10 am meeting point Noorul Islam Mosque, BL1 3QH walk into The Valley over to Tonge Moor Road.

 

12th September 2018 10 am meeting point Noorul Islam Mosque, BL1 3QH walk over to Mere Hall, Bolton.

 

 

 

A member of our group Phyliss paused at the remains of a tiled doorway on Higher Bridge Street (between Slater Street & Egyptian Street) The tile says “Briggs” however she remembers the shop as Hadfield’s bakery. Here she first met her husband; he was serving behind the counter (how romantic!)
